Founder and Senior Consultant
Syed Shahabuddin, PhD
Syed Shahabuddin is an accomplished drug discovery and development executive with extensive leadership experience in the biopharma industry. He has a proven track record in strategic planning, execution, and management of projects across various therapeutic areas, including small molecules, biologics, and gene and cell therapies in both early and late clinical development. Syed has held leadership roles at NGM Biopharma, where he led antibody-based clinical development in immuno-oncology, autoimmune, metabolic, and ocular diseases. He also served as CMC Lead and Associate Director at Sangamo Therapeutics, focusing on gene and cell therapies, and as Director of Program and Alliance Management at Baxter, overseeing strategic partnerships and operational activities. Syed holds a PhD from the University of Manchester and completed postdoctoral fellowships in Clinical Immunology and Allergic Diseases at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and in Infection and Immunity at Southern Illinois University.

Farhan Shahab, MD, MBA
Dr. Farhan Shahab is an accomplished physician and clinical scientist responsible for treating and stabilizing adult and pediatric patients with emergent clinical conditions in a busy Level 1 Emergency Department with more than 65,000 annual visits. He has treated patients with emergent oncologic, cardiovascular, respiratory, GI, and Neurologic presentations.
Dr. Shahab is passionate about drug development. He has over four years experience in Translational and Clinical Research. Dr. Shahab was a Co-Investigator on over ten Phase 1-3 industry sponsored clinical trials with the following indications: NASH, Hepatitis B and C, Colorectal Cancer, PBC, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Sarcoidosis, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Dr. Shahab is currently working as an Emergency Medicine Physician UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Rockford, IL
Dr. Shahab received MD degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine, Chicago and completed residency in Emergency Medicine from University of Iowa School of Medicine.
